About the Speaker:

Monte Farrar is the Manager of Human Resource Training for Express Employment Professionals International Headquarters. With more than 26 years of human resource experience, Monte helps Express franchise owners and their clients solve a wide range of HR challenges.

A graduate of Oklahoma Christian University, Monte has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a Master of Business Administration degree with an emphasis in Organizational Development. Prior to joining Express, Monte gained leadership and consulting experience in numerous industries and companies including, Gulfstream Aerospace Technologies, The Hertz Corporation, Bank One Corporation, and American Electric Power.

Monte holds a Society for Human Resource Management Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certification, as well as the HR Certification Institute (HRCI) designation as a Senior Professional in Human Resources with California certification (SPHR-CA).

OACC President’s Tuition Waiver Award Ceremony

Sydney Prince, a Redlands Community College student from Anadarko, was named the 2017 Oklahoma New Century Scholar. The $2,000 New Century Scholarship recognizes the All Oklahoma Team member with the highest academic achievement. The winner will also receive recognition at the Phi Theta Kappa International Convention in Nashville, Tennessee on April 6th-8th .

All- USA is split into five tiers at the national level of winning:

  1. National Winners
  2. Gold
  3. Silver
  4. Bronze

Two of our students are represented this year at the national level.

Ibrahim Asad, a student from Tulsa Community College  was named a Bronze level winner with a $1,000 Scholarship from the Coca-Cola Foundation and the Coca-Cola Scholar Foundation.

David C. Nnaji, a student from Tulsa Community College  was named a Bronze level winner with a $1,000 Scholarship from the Coca-Cola Foundation and the Coca-Cola Scholar Foundation.

The Oklahoma Council of Two-Year College Presidents and the OACC named 39 students to the All Oklahoma/USA Coca-Cola Academic Team. Oklahoma is one of 38 states participating in the State Academic Team Program through Phi Theta Kappa International, two-year college student honor society. To be eligible, students must be nominated by their college president and have at least a 3.5 cumulative grade point average.

2016 OACC Honors Student Scholars
